Create Value
The Registry node on the console allows you to create new values for an existing key in the Registry. Three different types of values can be created:
- String Value
- Binary Value
DWORD Value
To create a new value do the following:
- Select the key for which the new value is to be created.
- To create the value either click
Edit > Create String Value![]()
Edit > Create Binary Value
,
Edit > Create DWORD Value ![]()
The new value will automatically be created under the key and displayed in the table of the right window pane.
- To name the newly created value, click Edit > Properties
.
The Properties dialog box appears. - Enter the required data.
- Click OK to confirm.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
