SQL Server with ODBC connection
To create an ODBC connection (System DSN) follow the general procedure for SQL Server 2008/2012/2014 and then proceed as follows:
- Open the window ODBC Data Source Administrator and select the System DSN tab.
- Click Add and select the SQL Server driver from the list, then click Next .
- In the window that opens enter the name for the data source (for example, bcmdb ), select the SQL Server to which to connect and click Next .
- Select the authentication type Windows or SQL Server and click Next .
- Select the previously created database (for example, bcmdb ), click Next and then Finish .
- In the window that appears click Test Data Source to verify the connection.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
