The Status bar


The status bar at the bottom of the console window has a number of different fields displaying information about the current operation, for example, Searching database for objects.... and status information about the current connection.

It can also display static information, such as window contents last update or the number of items displayed in the right pane.statusbar_screenshot.png

The status bar contains the following elements:

Element

Description

Message

This field displays various messages about the selected node, for successfully executed operations, error messages in red color on actions which could not be performed, or otherwise the generic message Press F1 to display online help.

Total Entries

This field displays the number of objects in the right pane table. If the table is divided into several pages this number will display the number of lines per page compared to the total number of entries for this object, for example, 100/459 indicates that the first 100 entries are displayed of 459 objects in total.

Entries selected

This field displays the number of objects selected in the right pane table.

Login

This field displays the login name of the admin currently logged on to the console.

Database

This field displays information about the computer and database the console is currently logged on to, in the following format: <computer_name>:<port_number>

Alerts

If new alerts are available a triangle icon ( warning.png) displays in this status bar box. Double-clicking the icon will take you directly to the Alerts tab of the Alerts and Events node.

Secure Communication

If the communication for the agent is defined as secure when the console logged on, this field displays a lock ( lock.png) to indicate secure communication. If the communication is not secure the field remains empty.

Refresh Status

This colored field indicates the refresh type, and the connection status of the selected console view:

  • refresh_green.png: No automatic refresh is defined for this view.
  • refresh_blue.png: This view is refreshed via normal automatic refresh.
  • refresh_lila.png: This view is refreshed with fast automatic refresh.
  • refresh_red.png: There is no connection to the master.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
