The General Tab


The General tab is present in the right window pane in most of the console objects and it displays general information about the selected object.

Column

Description

Name

This field displays the name of the currently selected object, which may be the name of an administrator, for example, system, the name of an object created by a user/administrator, such as a report, for example, 2003 Client Software Inventory, and the representation of a report result in the form of its creation date and time, for example, 2003_10_09_13_25_00.

Created By

This field displays the name of either the creator of the object such as an administrator or it might also be the system that executed for example a report and produced the report result.

Create Time

This field displays the time of creation of the object in the default time format defined in the user preferences.

Last Modified By

This field displays the name of either the last person that last modified the object or its contents, such as the administrator, or it might be the system that last executed any modifications.

Last Modification Time

This field displays the time of the last modification of the object in the default time format defined in the user preferences.

Notes

This field is a free text field that can be edited to display general information about the object and its contents.

Some General tabs display some more object specific information, which will be explained in the respective topics. A number of the preceding explained values and object specific information detailed in the General tab are editable and can be modified through the Properties window.
