Running an ad-hoc query
To run an ad-hoc query
- In a Real User Analyzer, open the Session Browser tab.
- Switch to specifying a custom query by clicking custom queries.
(Optional) Provide filtering criteria to extract only the specific sessions:

Filtering criteria and action menu options
Show
Select to show sessions or pages.
For the sessions option, select to show sessions that are completed or currently in progress.
Watchpoint
Select to use any page watchpoints or specific watchpoints.
You can select to match any watchpoints in the Page Watchpoints list, or select match all.
If you select match any, the query will use any of the watchpoints in the list.
If you select match all, the query will only use the watchpoints that you select in the list.Time Range
Select the time frame for the query to use.
You can select several time frames ranging from the last 5 minutes to the previous day.
Records
Select the number of records for the system to display.
None
User ID
Shows how the traffic associated with all of the users.
You can limit the users used in the query with the options in the action menu. Select a function and enter a text string for the user name(s).
Group ID
Shows the traffic associated with all of the groups.
You can limit the groups used in the query with the options in the action menu. Select a function and enter a text string for the group name(s).
Collector feed name
Shows the traffic associated with all of the collector feed names.
You can limit the collector feed namesused in the query with the options in the action menu. Select a function from the list and enter a text string for the collector feed name(s).
Page Name
Shows the traffic associated with all of the page names.
You can limit the page names used in the query with the options in the action menu. Select a function from the list and enter a text string for the collector feed name(s).
Client IP/Block
Shows the traffic based on the client IP addresses or IP blocks.
The system supports entering the IPv6 addresses.You can limit the client IP addresses or IP blocks used in the query with the options in the action menu. Enter an IP address and select a function from the list.
Server IP/Block
Shows the traffic based on the server IP addresses or IP blocks.
The system supports entering the IPv6 addresses.
You can limit the server IP addresses or IP blocks used in the query with the options in the action menu. Enter an IP address and select a function from the list.
URI stem
Limit the results based on a specific URI stem.
If you selected sessions in the Show selector, this parameter returns sessions where at least on page matches the URI stem you specify.You can limit the URI stems used in the query with the options in the action menu. Enter a URI stime and select a function from the list.
Host
Limit the results based on a specific host name.
You can limit the host name used in the query with the options in the action menu. Enter a host name and select a function from the list.
Availability
Limit the results by specific error categories and/or the error codes.
You can select multiple categories and codes.
You can select additional options for the specific errors categories and specific error codes.
For specific errors categories, you can select several categories that the query result needs need to match.
For specific errors codes, you can enter error codes in the field, and select match any or match all.
With match any, the query shows results that match any error code entered in the list.
With match all, the query onlyshows results that match all of the error codes entered in the list.Info conditions
Limit the results by specific informational condition categories and/or the informational codes.
You can select multiple categories and codes.
You can select additional options for the specific info categories and specific error codes.
For specific info categories, you can select several categories that the query result needs to match.
For specific info codes, you can enter error codes in the field, and select match any or match all.
With match any, the query shows results that match any error codes entered in the list.
With match all, the query only shows results that match all of the error codes entered in the list.Performance
Filter the results based on whether a page service-level threshold (SLT) was broken or not.
Select the SLT Broken or No SLT Broken option.
Geolocation information
Select filtering criteria based on geolocation parameters.
You can select filtering criteria based on City, Country, DNS-name, ISP, Metro-area, Organization, and Region.
For each of these fitering criteria, you can select a function and enter a text string for the parameter.Session system custom fields

You can select filtering criteria based on Browser name, Entry page name, Exit page name, OS, Site referrer.

Metric filter
Select filtering criteria based on specific traffic metrics.
You can select no filter or specific filter(s)
For specific filter(s), you can select which filters to use.
With match all, the query only shows results that match all of the filters selected in the list.Delivery mode
Select an option for the page delivery.
You can select any, origin pages, or Akami cached pages.
Sort by
Select the time options to sort the query.
You can select several time options for the query and if the results are sorted in descending or ascending order.
- Click Get snapshot.
The Session Browser returns the list of sessions or pages that match your criteria.
