Monitoring synthetic transactions to predict application health
You use synthetic transaction monitoring to evaluate application health and user experience. TrueSight Synthetic Monitor enables you to manage the performance and reliability of your applications by executing complex business transactions and monitoring performance and functional behavior. For more information, see Getting-started-with-synthetic-transaction-monitoring and Synthetic-metrics-rules-and-events.
On the Applications page, applications are colored to indicate the highest severity level of an open event for each application. Synthetic Health events, and SLA events both effect the status and color of the application. This means that the status of the application can indicate either kind of event.
Setting up synthetic transactions
Before you can perform the tasks described in this section, you must complete the activities described in Setting-up-and-managing-synthetic-transaction-monitoring.
