Running debug mode on a Cloud Probe
When you experience problems with the Real User Cloud Probe, the Customer Support representative might ask you to run the Cloud Probe in debug mode and then send the logs.
Based on the log data, the Support representative will be able to locate the root cause of the problem.
To run debug mode on Linux
- Stop the BMC Real User Cloud Probe service.
- Start debug mode by running the following command:
service cloud-probe start debug - When the debug process is complete, stop debug mode by running the following command:
service cloud-probe stop - Start the BMC Real User Cloud Probe service to continue working.
To run debug mode on Windows
- Stop the BMC Real User Cloud Probe service.
- In the Cloud Probe installation folder, open the cloudprobe folder and run the register_cloud_probe_debug_service.bat file.
- Run the services.msc command and start the BMC Real User Cloud Probe Debug service.
- When the debug process is complete, stop the BMC Real User Cloud Probe Debug service.
- (Optional) Remove the debug service by running the delete_cp_debug.bat file located in the <InstallDir>\cloudprobe\ folder.
- Start the BMC Real User Cloud Probe service to continue working.
