Viewing the status of activities


As an administrator, you can review the status of recent activities performed by yourself and other operators in Automation Console. As an operator, you can view the status of recent activities performed only by your security group.

To view the activity logs

  1. Log in to the console.
  2. Click the user profile section, and then click Activity Logs.
    The following details about an activity are displayed.
    • Activity
    • Object
    • Name
    • User (Administrator only)
    • Status
    • Date
    • Details
  3. To search for an activity, enter an activity name, object name, object type, status, or complete or partial description and click search.png.
  4. To view the activity logs for a specific interval, click image2022-10-3_15-36-41.pngand specify the date and time.
  5. (Optional) Click Advanced filter and select the required filters, and click Done.
    You can select multiple search criteria from the following options:

    • Activity
    • Object
    • Status
    • User

Important

  • You can click Select all to select all the filter options and click Clear all to clear your selection.
  • The selected Advanced filters are retained in the following scenarios:
    • If you navigate to different pages on the Automation Console during an active session.
    • If you access the Automation Console on a duplicate tab in the same browser during an active session.
  • The selected Advanced filters are not retained in the following scenarios: 
    • If you access the Automation Console by using a different browser during an active session.
    • If you log out of the Automation Console and log in again using the same browser.
    • If you log out of the Automation Console and log in again using a different browser.

To clean up the activity logs

As an administrator, you can purge all activity logs generated before 90 days (default value) by using the cleanup API. You can also provide a date older than 90 days to delete all activity logs before it. For more details, see the Using-REST-APIs.
