Support for user job schedulers

At minimum, the scheduler must supply either the time the job must start or must end, plus the expected elapsed time to execute the job.

Enhancements to all editions of ThruPut Manager

This section summarizes the enhancements to all editions of ThruPut Manager.

  • The Health Checker now ensures that the control file is allocated with a single extent, which is necessary for good performance and greater data integrity in a disaster recovery scenario.
  • The Control File and the Duplex are never written at the same time so that in a disaster recovery scenario, at least one of the two files is a valid and useable copy.
  • The MVS system name is now included with all trace output to help you identify the trace source.
