Exporting data


Use the following procedure to export data in .csv format to the location that you chose. The output includes the column headings.

To export data

New BMC Workbench console
  1. Select or create a DB2 object view that contains the object or objects that you want to export.For more information, see Creating-a-DB2-object-view.
  2. Navigate to and select your source object or objects.For more information, see Navigating-to-an-object.
  3. Perform one of the following actions:
    • To export all objects in the view, right-click anywhere in the results pane and select Select All; then right-click again and select Export data.
    • To export specific objects, select one or more object entries, right-click, and select Export Data.
  4. When prompted, select a location for the exported data.The default file name is export_data.csv.
  5. Save the file.
Classic BMC Workbench console
  1. Select or create a DB2 object view that contains the object or objects that you want to export.For more information, see Creating-a-DB2-object-view.
  2. Navigate to and select your source object or objects.For more information, see Navigating-to-an-object.
  3. Perform one of the following actions:
    • To export all objects in the view, right-click anywhere in the results pane and select Select All g_gud_SelectAll-16.png; then right-click again and select Export data g_gud_export-24.png.
    • To export specific objects, select one or more object entries, right-click, and select Export Data g_gud_export-24.png.
  4. When prompted, select a location for the exported data.The default file name is export_data.csv.
  5. Save the file.


 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
