Manually configuring the BMC Remedy ITSM server for BMC Incident Management

The integration of BMC Remedy ITSM server with BMC Incident Management is needed to create incidents from chats. When installing BMC Virtual Chat with BMC Remedy ITSM version 8.1.01 and earlier, you will get a system message stating that the installer cannot integrate with BMC Remedy ITSM. For BMC Remedy ITSM version 8.1.02 and later, the integration takes place automatically while installing BMC Virtual Chat. 

To configure the integration of BMC Remedy ITSM server for BMC Incident Management manually, you must perform the following procedure: 

  1. From the IT Home Page, select Virtual Chat > Administration Console > Integrations > Chat Integrations.
  2. Select the Incident Management check box.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Select Virtual Chat > Administration Console > Integrations > Incident Management.
  5. In ITSM Server, replace <server> with your ITSM server name. For example, vw-tlv-re-d04.
  6. Click Apply and then OK.
