The following table provides the mappings for TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse users and administrators with the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform roles:

Reporting users

Users imported from TrueSight Server Automation to TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse through ETL




TrueSight View Reports

Can perform the following activities for the reports:

  • Run the out-of-the-box reports.
  • Add reports to their favourites list.
  • Distribute reports or Dashboard Tabs to other users.
  • Export reports to CSV, XLS, Text, and DOCX format.
  • Print reports.
  • View and update their User Profile.
  • Access public content in read-only mode.

TrueSight Manage Reports


Can perform the following activities for the reports:

  • Create, view, edit, and delete reports and dashboards.
  • Export reports to CSV, XLS, Text, and DOCX format.
  • Print reports.
  • Email reports.
  • Publish reports for themselves and for individual users.
  • Create, view, edit, and delete schedules for reports.

TrueSight Component Administrator

Can perform the following activities for the reports:

  • Create, view, edit, and delete all reports and dashboards.
  • Create and modify views.
  • Export reports to CSV, XLS, Text, and DOCX format.
  • Print reports.
  • Email reports.
  • Import and export report artefacts, such as, views and report-definitions.
  • Create, view, edit, and delete schedules for reports.
  • Schedule FTP.
  • Create dashboard tabs.
  • Set or change the access filter on a report.
  • Broadcast reports to external users.
  • Create and edit Data Sources.
  • Create Freehand SQL reports.

Administrators

TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse Administrator - DWAdmin



TrueSight Component Administrator

Can administer the following configuration activities for TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse:

  • Manage databases.
  • Manage sites.
  • Manage password.
  • Run ETL.
  • Manage the Authentication Service.
  • Archive and restore data.

Can administer the following configuration activities for reports:

  • Add TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse as a component in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.
  • Get the latest views in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.
  • Create, view, edit, and delete all reports and dashboards.
  • Create and modify views.
  • Export reports to CSV, XLS, Text, and DOCX format.
  • Print reports.
  • Email reports.
  • Import and export report artefacts, such as, views and report-definitions.
  • Create and edit Data Sources.
  • Change the datasource password in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.
  • Create, view, edit, and delete schedules for reports.
  • Schedule FTP.
  • Create dashboard tabs.
  • Set or change the access filter on a report.
  • Broadcast reports to external users.

TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform Administrator

System Administrator

This user is the system administrator for TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform and can perform the following activities:

  • Modify and delete components.
  • Managing schedules.
  • Create, view, edit, and delete reports created by all users.

    No role enables FreeHand SQL Reports by default. By default the Manage Reports role should include the option to create Freehand SQL Reports.

      Checked with R&D. For creating FreeHand SQL reports, the TrueSight component admin role is required. I will update the topic accordingly.
