Inventory reports

Information in the Inventory reports is derived from the Discovery and Snapshot job runs in TrueSight Server Automation. Some information comes from extended objects. Before you can collect data for the Inventory reports, you must set up and run jobs in TrueSight Server Automation. For more information, see Setting up data collection for Inventory reports.

Inventory Summary By OS

Provides a graphical and tabular view of server distribution by OS name and OS version.

Inventory Details

Provides detailed server inventory information by OS name and version.

Information displayed in the report depends on the Snapshot Job runs on hardware information in TrueSight Server Automation. The data shown in the report is derived from the latest job runs of the corresponding items (such as RAM and CPU). To display report data, regular Snapshot Jobs must be run.

OS Name

Inventory Virtual vs Physical

Provides a graphical and tabular view of number of physical and virtual machines for an operating system.

This reports also lists the total number of physical and virtual machines.

Inventory Summary by Hypervisor

Shows information about a hypervisor type, hypervisor, manager, and the number of virtual machines under them.

Server Configuration

Provides a complete inventory of all the hardware and software objects of a server.

The following configuration reports are available for all supported operating systems.

Includes attributes of the following assets for all OS types:

Server Overview, Physical Memory, CPU, Logical Storage, Network Card

Includes attributes of the following assets for Microsoft Windows:

Complus, Dot Net Assemblies, Event Logs, Local Groups, Local Users, Registry, Security Settings, Services, Windows Application, Windows Hotfix

Includes attributes of the following assets for Linux:

Daemons, Processes, RPM, UNIX Groups, UNIX Users

Includes attributes of the following assets for IBM AIX:
