Importing TrueSight Smart Reporting custom certificates in TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse

If TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform  uses custom certificates, you must import them in TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse.

Do the following:

  1. Stop the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse service.
  2. Obtain the custom certificate from TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.
  3. Open the command prompt, and navigate to the <TSSA-DWInstallationDirectory>/jre/bin directory.
  4. Run the following command to import the certificate to a temporary keystore file.

    keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias <newtsrkey> -file <certificate file location> -keystore <TSSA-DW Install>/jre/lib/security/cacerts -keypass <keyPassword> -storepass <storePassword>

where newtsrkey is the new alias that you create and keyPassword is password of the certificate.

The value of storePassword is "changeit".
    For example,

C:\PROGRA~1\BMCSOF~1\TSSA-DW/jre/bin/keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias smartreporting -file C:\PROGRA~1\BMCSOF~1\TSSA-DW/tomcat/conf/smartreporting.cer -keystore C:\PROGRA~1\BMCSOF~1\TSSA-DW/jre/lib/security/cacerts -keypass changeit -storepass changeit

Note: Import all certificates according to their hierarchy

Ensure that you import all certificates in the order of their hierarchy. Import the parent first, followed by subsequent children.

  5. Start the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse service.
