Implementing authentication
This topic describes security administration for TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse.
TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse uses single sign-on (SSO) functionality of TrueSight Server Automation in a different manner than other TrueSight Server Automation applications. An user logs on to the reports client (a web browser) by providing the user credentials required for the authentication type. Using these credentials, the reports server accesses the BMC Server Automation Authentication Service for reports and acquires user credentials in the name of the authenticating user.
For TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse, the following types of user authentication mechanisms are provided:
- SRP authentication
- Domain authentication
- RSA SecurID authentication
- LDAP authentication
- PKI authentication

utility commands for the following items are not supported in TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse:
- Application server
- Database
- Support
