Technical bulletin — Announcing hotfix 20.02.00.001

Hotfix 20.02.00.001 is now available for TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform version 20.02. 

Important: Mandatory hotfix for version 20.02

This hotfix must be applied on fresh and upgrade installations of TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform version 20.02.

This hotfix fixes the following issue related to scheduled reports.

Issue

Scheduled reports with view-level filters are not delivered on schedule. This issue occurs when a view is published or republished through an ETL run or by using the Update Content button in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.


Installing the hotfix

Do the following to apply the hotfix:

  1. Go to the server where TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform is installed.
  2. Navigate to the  FTP location for the hotfix Open link .
  3. Download and unzip the TrueSightSmartReporting_HotFix_20.02.00.001.zip file.
  4. Stop the TrueSightSmartReporting service.
  5. Navigate to the <install_location>\appserver\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\lib directory and take a backup of the i4-mi.jar file.
  6. Replace the existing  i4-mi.jar file with the  i4-mi.jar file from the extracted location.
  7. Start the TrueSightSmartReporting service.


Rolling back the hotfix

You can roll back the hotfix if the  i4-mi.jar file is corrupted or if you face any other issues.

Do the following:

  1. Go to the server where you applied the 20.02.00.001 hotfix.
  2. Stop the TrueSightSmartReportingservice.
  3. Copy the  i4-mi.jar file that you backed up before applying the hotfix.
  4. Navigate to the the <install_location>\appserver\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\lib directory.
  5. Replace the existing i4-mi.jar file with the backed-up file that you copied.
  6. Start the TrueSightSmartReporting service.

    The link to the FTP site doesn't seem to work properly. There's no indications as to how to login. Do you use your Support ID and Password? Anonymous? the contents of the /pub directory seem to be hidden. There is a Hotfix 20.02.00.002 as well.

    Why aren't these in EPD under the patches list?
