Sharing reports

This topic provides instructions on sharing reports.

You can share reports with others on an ad hoc basis. You can send a report through email or embed a report into an HTML, Wiki, or Blog page.

For sending an email message, ensure that the email settings are configured in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform. For information about how to configure the email settings, see Configuring email settings in TrueSight Smart Reporting.

Do the following:

  1. Log in to TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.
  2. Ensure that a report is generated. If not, generate a report.
  3. Open the report and click Share  on the main navigation bar.
  4. Select one of the following options:
    • Distribute—Select this option if you want to distribute reports to users who need access to the same data as you have. Do the following:
      1. Click in the Add Recipients box to select the required recipients from the list of available users and groups. Reports are distributed to only those users who have the appropriate level of access for the report.
      2. (Optional) Add a message.
      3. Select a value from the Share Using list. 
      4. Click Submit.
    • EmailSelect this option if you want to send reports through email to other registered users or external parties. You cannot send draft reports through an email message. Do the following:
      1. Click in the Add Recipients to select the required recipients from the list of available users and groups or add email address of the recipients.
      2. Select the format for the report from the list. Available formats are: PDF, DOCX, LinktoReport, HTML, XLSX.
      3. (Optional) Add a message.
      4. Select a value from the Share Using list. 
      5. Click Submit.
    • Link—Select this option if you want to embed the report content in external pages, for example, wiki or blog. Do the following:
      1. Select and copy the link provided. You can paste it in your external page.
      2. Click Close.
