Phase scheduling and execution

Execute job now

Instructs the job to execute immediately when you finish defining the job.
This option is not available if you are modifying an existing job or if your system has been configured to require approval for this type of job.

Execute job on Approval

Instructs the job to execute when approval information is provided. Click Browse to display the Change Request Information dialog box, where you provide change request information. For more information, see Deploy Job - Execute on approval and Change Request settings. 

This option is only available when your system has been configured to require approval for this type of job.

Do not execute

Indicates you do not want to schedule this job.
After you define a Deploy Job, you can always select the job and execute it interactively.

Execute selected phases sequentially

Indicate the entire job runs sequentially. To schedule the job, enter a date and time using a format of yyyy/mm/dd hh:mm or click Browse, which displays the Schedule Dialog. The dialog box contains two tabs, Schedule and Schedule Job Notifications. Use them to define a schedule for the job.

Execute individual phases as specified below

Allows you to schedule individual phases of the job using the options described below.
This option is only available if you are defining an advanced Deploy Job.

Simulate time

If you checked Simulate under Phase Selection, do one of the following for Simulate time:

• If you do not want to schedule this phase, select Not scheduled.
• If you want to schedule this phase, select Start simulating at. Then, to schedule the phase, enter a date and time using a format of mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm, or click browse, which displays the Add New Schedule Dialog. The dialog box contains two tabs, Schedule and Schedule Job Notifications. Use them to define a schedule for the job.

Stage time

If you checked Commit under Phase Selection, do one of the following for Stage time:

• If you do not want to schedule the staging phase, select Not scheduled.
• If you want staging to follow simulation, select Start immediately after simulation is complete. Do not select this option if you have not checked Simulate under Phase Selection.
• If you want to schedule the staging phase, select Start staging at. Then, to schedule the phase, enter a date and time using a format of mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm, or click Browse, which displays the Add New Schedule Dialog. The dialog box contains two tabs, Schedule and Schedule Job Notifications. Use them to define a schedule for the job.

Commit time

If you checked Commit under Phase Selection, do one of the following for Commit time:

• If you do not want to schedule the Commit phase, select Not scheduled.

• If you want the Commit phase to follow staging, select Start immediately after staging is complete. If approvals are required for this type of Deploy Job, this option is called Start after staging is complete (on Approval) and the option lets you click Browse to open a Change Request Information window.

• If you want to schedule the Commit phase, select Start commit at. Then, to schedule the phase, enter a date and time using a format of mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm, or click Browse, which displays the Add New Schedule Dialog. The dialog box contains two tabs, Schedule and Schedule Job Notifications. Use them to define a schedule for the job. The dialog box contains a third tab if approvals are required.
