Patch Downloader utility for Red Hat Enterprise Linux

You can download metadata and payload using the Patch Downloader utility for Red Hat Enterprise Linux supplied by BMC or you can use a download utility that you have on hand.

The server that houses the patch repository must have the yum-utils, subscription-manager, createrepo and pythonurl-grabber packages installed before download begins. 

The Patch Downloader utility uses configuration and filter information to download metadata and payload from Red Hat. In addition to supported base channels, you also have the option of downloading from child channels using the the Patch Downloader utility, see Downloading-child-channels-using-the-Patch-Downloader-utility.
