Sizing and scalability considerations
Use the following recommended hardware configurations when deploying Track-It!. The total number of technicians and requestors that are referenced in the following topics are average active users on a regular work day who are logged in to the application. These are not the total licenses you purchased for technicians or requestors.
For example, you have purchased 10 technicians licenses and 1000 requestor licenses. However, on a usual day only 4 to 5 technicians are logged in and actively working at the same time. Similarly, you can expect fewer than 200 requestors logging in to Self service at any point during the day. In this case, BMC recommends you use the small environment.
Note
The values provided for each environment are for an all-in-one configuration.
The following topics are provided:
Small environment
Up to 5 active technicians and up to 100 active requestors and less than 500 nodes

---|---|
Processor | 2 CPUs with minimum 2 GHz - 4 core with 2 MB cache |
RAM | 8 GB |
HDD | 100 GB |
Medium environment
Up to 15 active technicians and up to 200 active requestors and less than 20,000 nodes
Hardware | |
---|---|
Processor | 4 CPUs with minimum 2 GHz - 8 core with 8 MB cache |
RAM | 16 GB |
HDD | 150 GB |
Large environment
More than 15 active technicians and more than 200 active requestors and less than 50,000 nodes
Hardware | |
---|---|
Processor | 4 CPUs with minimum 2 GHz - 8 core with 8 MB cache |
RAM | 24 GB |
