Managing permissions for the Asset module

Based on the various roles in your organization, you can assign permissions for the Asset module permissions to technicians

To manage permission for the Asset module

  1. On the header bar, expand the hamburger menu  and select Configuration.
  2. Click Application Settings and select Technicians.
  3. On the Technicians page, select a technician.
  4. Click More Actions  and then click Technician Permissions.
  5. In the Technician Permissions window, click the Permissions tab:

    ActionPermission
    Allows technician to perform on-demand audit of assets in Track-It!Can perform on demand audit of assets
    Allows technician to remotely control assets from Track-It!Can remotely connect to assets
  6. Click the Advanced Permissions tab, and based on your requirement, assign the appropriate permissions for the Asset module:

    ActionPermission
    View assets in Track-It!View
    Create assets in Track-It!Create
    Edit assets (including perform on-demand audit or retire assets)Edit
    Delete assets from Track-It!Delete
  7. Click Save.
     The permission changes are applied the next time the technician logs in.
