Modifying objects
There are a number of Summary view operations available (accessed from the Operations drop-down menu) for each object type selected. In this section, the All Queues Summary View is used as an example, which includes these operations for individual queues (including message-specific operations which will not be relevant in other Summary views; for a full overview of how to manage and edit messages, see Managing messages):
- Copy As New Queue: Enables you to copy a selected object (in this example, a queue).
- Delete: Delete the associated object (queue).
- Permissions: Displays users and groups with access rights to this object (queue).
- Audit: Displays audit functions performed for this object (when, who created/modified this object). Includes audit configuration options (to set data collection ranges).
- Put Messages: Displays the Put New Message dialog for creating a new message and placing (put) it on the queue.
- Upload/Import: Displays the Upload/Import dialog for uploading or importing messages.
- Copy Messages: Displays the Copy Message dialog to facilitate copying messages from one queue to another.
- Move Messages: Displays the Move Message(s) from Queue dialog in which you can select the relevant messages to move to a destination queue.
- Find Messages: Displays the Search Details dialog for searching messages for specific search strings or message properties.
- Clear Queue: Deletes all messages that are currently on the queue.
- Tag Queue: Applies a tag to the object (queue); create a new tag or add the object to an existing tag group.
Note
In order to access the Properties for each queue / object, click on the queue / object name in the Workspace.
Use the information in this topic as a template for how to work with Summary View operations; the Summary View sections for each object contain full descriptions of associated operations.
