Validating Integration

This topic was edited by a BMC Contributor and has not been approved.  More information.

After the BMC Remedy Mid Tier integration with the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On completes, you will need to validate the system. The following diagram illustrates the authentication flow between the AR System server, BMC Remedy Mid Tier, and BMC Atrium Single Sign-On server.

The following steps explain the authentication process:

  1. Browser accesses mid tier
  2. Atrium SSO agent detects user has not authenticated therefore sends browser to Atrium SSO
  3. User authenticates to the Atrium SSO service
  4. Atrium SSO sets cookie in browser and sends browser back to mid tier
  5. Browser accesses mid tier, and agent allows access
  6. Mid tier accesses Atrium SSO session to establish authentication with AR server
  7. AR server contacts Atrium SSO server to validate Atrium SSO session for user
  8. AR authenticates user to Mid-tier
