Installing the patch
Patch 1 for BMC Atrium Single Sign-On 9.0.00 (9.0.00.01) is a full installation. The patch is an upgrade and can be installed on an existing installation. You can download the 9.0.00.01 installation files from the Patches tab on the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) site and perform installation by using your normal installation process. For instructions about downloading the files that you need for installation, see Downloading the installation files.
Recommendation
Back up BMC Atrium Single Sign-On before proceeding with the patch installation.

Support for BMC Atrium Single Sign-On login on mobile devices
Starting with this release, you can view the optimized BMC Atrium Single Sign-On login page on the supported mobile devices. When you access any BMC application integrated with BMC Atrium Single Sign-On, the optimized login page appears on iOS and Android phones and tablets. For more information about supported devices, see Logging on to a BMC application using mobile device.

Text above under 'Installing the Patch" appears to contain a copy/paste error, reference to version 8. "Patch 3 for BMC Atrium Single Sign-On 8.1.00 (8.1.00.03) is a full installation."
Also, per the reference to backup Atrium SSO prior to installing the patch...can the patch be installed on top of existing installation, or does the existing installation need to be uninstalled first? The documentation here is not clear.
