Command

Description

Examples

HSMCMD

Allows you to issue HSM commands through MainView SRM views

In the dialog, enter a valid HSM command. After you exit the dialog, the command is submitted to the IBM MVS operating system to be executed. The HSMMSG view, which is available from the EZSRMHSM menu, will contain responses from the command.

Commands that are entered in the HSM command dialog do not require any command character or prefix. MainView SRM will prefix the HSM command with the modifier and the name of the main primary HSM address space that is running on the system. The command is issued to each system within your MVI CONTEXT. The maximum command length is 126 bytes.

Note: To use the HSMCMD command, you must be licensed for the MainView SRM Automation or Reporting component.

Command:

QUERY REQUEST

Processed command:

F HSMSTC,QUERY REQUEST

SAVESRM

Allows you to save the parameters of the current view

Command:

SAVESRM MYVIEW1 'VOLCNFG FOR MYPOOL1' N

In the VOLCNFG view, this example saves current view parameters for VOLCNFG as MYVIEW1.

The description for the new definition is VOLCNFG FOR MYPOOL1. If the MVVIEW1 definition already exists, this new definition will not replace it.

Note: In this example, the description string requires single quotes because the string contains spaces.

LOADSRM

Loads a saved view for display

Command:

LOADSRM MYVIEW1

This example loads and displays the view that the SAVESRM example saved.

SVOSCMD

Allows you to issue SVOS commands through MainView SRM views

In the dialog, enter a valid (SVOS) MainView SRM-related command. After you exit the dialog, the command is submitted to the SVOS address space.

The command is issued to each system within your MVI CONTEXT. Commands that are entered in the SVOSCMD command dialog do not require any command character or prefix. The maximum command length is 126 bytes.

Note: To use the SVOSCMD command, you must be licensed for the MainView SRM Automation or Reporting component.
