PARTIALSCAN

Indicates whether to bypass some of the more extensive processing required to collect volume information

If YES is specified, a scan's run time will significantly improve. PARTIALSCAN=YES cannot be set when running master scans or when requesting data set records to be built (SMVSCF RECORD_TYPE=D is set). The missing statistics are noted under Partial volume and pool collection on non-master VTOC Scans. The default is PARTIALSCAN=NO.
