IBM physical tape
This view displays information about IBM TS7700 Series physical tapes. Select a volume serial number to advance to the Physical Tape EZCmd menu. The following table summarizes the options on the Physical Tape EZcmd menu. Press F1 to access online Help with descriptions of each field on the view.
Physical Tape EZcmd menu options
Menu option and view name | Description |

Virtual Volumes (VDR) | Virtual volumes on the physical tape that are also in virtual tape libraries accessed during tape scan |
TM Active Virtual Vols (VDR) | Non-scratched virtual volumes on the physical tape that are also defined to the Tape Management software |
TM Scratch Virtual Vols (VDR) | Scratched virtual volumes on the physical tape that are also defined to the Tape Management software |
MVC1 Virtual Volumes (VDR) | MVC1 (primary backup) virtual volumes on the physical tape |
MVC2 Virtual Volumes (VDR) | MVC2 (secondary backup) virtual volumes on the physical tape |
Active Data Sets on Volume (TDSDD) | Active data sets on the physical tape |
Scratch Data Sets (TDSDD) | Scratched data sets on the physical tape |
Detail View (PHYTAPED) | Physical tape volume |
