Customizing MainView SRM Automation

Perform the following task only if you are licensed for the MainView SRM Automation component and you plan to use predefined automation solutions that use MainView AutoOPERATOR.

Note

MainView AutoOPERATOR must already be installed and configured.

If the MVS.MCSOPER.** RACF facility is active, the USERID associated with the SVOS address space must be given READ access, which enables SVOS to activate an MCS console.

To set up predefined solutions

  1. Copy the following members from MainView SRM ?prefix.BBSAMP to the MainView AutoOPERATOR ?prefix.UBBPARM. These members must be placed in a data set in the BBIPARM concatenation of the MainView AutoOPERATOR BBISS started task.
    • RULSRS

    • RULSRS02

    • RULSRS03

    • RULSRS04

    • RULSRS05

    • RULSRS06

    • SRSVARA

    • SRSVARD

    • SRSVARG

    • SRSVARH

    • SRSVARJ

    • SRSVARW

  2. Copy the following members from MainView SRM ?prefix.BBSAMP to the MainView AutoOPERATOR ?prefix.UBBPROC. You must place these members in the SYSPROC concatenation of the MainView AutoOPERATOR BBISS started task.
    • ADSMHUNG

    • ADSMWTOR

    • HSMHELD

    • HSMDUPR

    • HSMRLSE

    • HSMWAIT

    • SRSVAR

  3. Issue the following MainView AutoOPERATOR console command to execute the SRSVAR EXEC that initializes parameters for the predefined solutions:

F aoas,%SRSVAR SRSVARG SRSVARH SRSVARW SRSVARD SRSVARA SRSVARJ

The aoas variable is the name of your MainView AutoOPERATOR started task.

After you issue this command, SRSVAR runs automatically when MainView AutoOPERATOR is started.

Alternatively, you can invoke an MainView AutoOPERATOR EXEC from the COMMAND line of any MainView AutoOPERATOR panel. For more information about invoking EXECs from MainView AutoOPERATOR, see the MainView AutoOPERATOR Basic Automation Guide, Volume 1: Using Rules.
