Catalog search
Use the Catalog Search options to provide filter criteria that you want to use to locate data sets and high-level qualifiers.
The following table summarizes each catalog search option and its corresponding SETSRM keywords, action line commands, and EZCmd menus.

Catalog Information | Advances to the WBCSCATS view. This view provides information on the catalogs in the system. The displayed information is obtained from data gathered by the SVOS CSCAN command. Alias Information | Advances to the WBCSALI view. This view provides information on the aliases defined to the catalogs in the system. The displayed information is obtained from data gathered by the SVOS CSCAN command. Data Set Locate | Displays a data-entry dialog that enables you to provide selection criteria to locate and list cataloged data sets. For example, you can provide a data set name or mask and the type of data sets, such as all or VSAM, and you can specify whether you want to include migrated data sets. After you type the selection criteria, press PF3 to begin the search process and advance to view WBSL. This view lists data sets that meet your search criteria. The action line commands provide you with many data set management options, including free unused space, access data set information, and so on. This view displays cataloged data sets that match your selection criteria. HLQ Locate | Displays a data-entry dialog where you can provide a high-level qualifier or masks for the data sets that you want to locate and list (for example, SYS1*). Press PF3 to begin the search process and advance to view WBHLQ. This view displays data sets that match your high-level qualifier or mask. Open VSAM DS By Job | Advances to the ACTJOBS view. This view provides a list of currently active jobs in the system. Select one or more jobs for processing. Catalog Performance | Advances to the WBCSCAPC view. This view displays catalog performance statistics contained in the CSCAN output data set. The performance statistics are for the current interval, as defined by the SMMSYS. CSCAN_PERFI=nnn The nnn variable represents the number of days.
