SMF

The SMF parameter specifies the SMF message-generation option for resources that are selected by the parameters that follow it. Informational and error messages can be written to the SMF data set, or all messages can be omitted from the SMF data set. Note that this option overrides the SMF option on the function definition in the SMFUNCxx member .

Note

The SMF parameter is used only for the Allocation component and the HSM collector.

Syntax: MSG=[I |W | E | S | N]

  • I (Informational and error messages)
  • W (Warning messages)
  • E (Error messages only)
  • S (Severe messages)
  • N (No messages)

Required: No

Default: None
