Testing the Automation component

If you are licensed for the Automation component, you must verify that event generation and AUTO functions are operational.

If you are not licensed for the Automation component, you can skip this task.

Tip

MainView SRM Automation is distributed with predefined automated solutions to manage many storage-related problems. These solutions are distributed as not active. You can review the thresholds and actions and customize them to run in your shop.For information about predefined automation solutions, see Using MainView SRM Enterprise Storage Automation.
