Command entry from MainView SRM views
Issuing these commands from a view or menu displays a data entry dialog that allows you to enter a command manually and have the command executed on each system that is defined to your MVI CONTEXT.
The commands available from MainView SRM Automation are:
HSMCMD
SVOSCMD
SYSCMD
Executing either of these commands displays a data entry dialog as shown in the following figure.

The following table describes the commands that are available to MainView SRM Automation customers.
Command entry in MainView SRM views
Command | Description | Examples |

HSMCMD | The HSMCMD command enables you to issue HSM commands through MainView SRM views. In the dialog, enter a valid HSM command. After you exit the dialog, the command is submitted to the MVS operating system to be executed. The HSMMSG view, which is available from the EZSRMHSM menu, will contain responses from the command. Commands that are entered in the HSM command dialog do not require any command character or prefix. MainView SRM will prefix the HSM command with the modifier and the name of the main primary HSM address space that is running on the system. The command is issued to each system within your MVI CONTEXT. The maximum command length is 126 bytes. SVOSCMD | The SVOSCMD command enables you to issue SVOS commands through MainView SRM views. In the dialog, enter a valid (SVOS) MainView SRM command. After you exit the dialog, the command is submitted to the SVOS address space. The command is issued to each system within your MVI CONTEXT. Commands that are entered in the SVOSCMD command dialog do not require any command character or prefix. The maximum command length is 126 bytes. SYSCMD | The SYSCMD command enables you to issue MVS commands through MainView SRM views. In the dialog, enter a valid MVS or JES command. After you exit the dialog, the command is submitted to the MVS operating system to be executed. The command is issued to each system within your MVI CONTEXT. MainView SRM displays any command response that is received from each system in the context. Commands that are entered in the SYSCMD dialog use the same format as commands that are entered on the MVS console. The maximum command length is 126 bytes.
