To view the latest version, select the version from the Product version menu.

Setting application preferences and options

You can view and edit preferences and options for BMC Service Request Management consoles. For example, you can determine:

  • Default console view
  • Search defaults
  • What happens after you save a request

Note

For the changes to take effect, close and re-open the console. The preferences you set are applicable until they are modified.

    In the above article, it starts with

    When you click Functions > Application Preferences

    but nowhere does it tell you what form, console, etc that you should be in when clicking on this Functions button/menu, etc....so it's really hard to tell what is meant, and specifically, difficult to 'follow along'.

    Hi Lj,

    Thank you for your feedback on this documentation - it was not very clear, and there are different menus for setting preferences, depending on the console that's open.

    I have updated the topic so that it directs the user to look at the instructions for each individual console.
