Request notifications by roles

The following table lists the request status changes that trigger notifications, and the application roles to which the notifications are sent.

In BMC Remedy with Smart IT, the Initiated status is called Planning. For more information, see Submitting service requests using Smart IT.

Request assignees receive notifications when a request is assigned to them. This action can happen at any stage but typically occurs at the beginning of the request's life. The notification does not list a status but only notifies the assignee that the request is assigned to him or her.
