Creating and using advanced interface forms
Instead of the default data entry screen on the Request Entry console, you can create an advanced, personalized data entry screen by using the advanced interface forms (AIFs).
You can configure a service request definition (SRD) to use an AIF instead of the Provide Information form that is displayed in the Request Entry console. The AIF mechanism enables complex validation of answers and custom workflow for user interaction. Depending on the type of AIF, you might need to map fields on the AIF to the required target data (fulfillment application fields) in the SRD.
Important
Guest users cannot submit a request if the SRD includes an Advanced Interface form.
You can perform the following activities by using AIFs:
- Map more than forty user responses to fulfillment application fields (target data).
- Capture additional fields in addition to the default set of fields.
- Control data flow in the AIF.
Create data validation.
