Migrating data by using the Deployment Application

Promote service request definitions (SRDs), process definition templates (PDTs), and supporting data easily and reliably across environments by using the Deployment Application. With this feature, deployment managers can migrate data with one package. The objects can be packaged with other customizations, making deployment much easier.

The deployment manager performing the export must be a member of the Company for which data is being exported.

To migrate data by using the Deployment Application

1. Prepare your destination server.
   

2. Using the Deployment Application on the source server, create a package that includes the SRDs, PDTs, and supporting data to be deployed to the target server.
   See Defining and deploying data and object packages  in the AR System documentation for detailed instructions on using the Deployment Application for data migration.
   After you create the package, the Deployment Application validates the package and deploys it on the target server. 

3. On the remote server, use the Deployment Management console to import the package.
