This documentation supports the 20.08 version of Service Request Management, which is available only to BMC Helix subscribers (SaaS).

To view an earlier version, select the version from the Product version menu.

Setting application preferences and options

You can view and edit preferences and options for BMC Service Request Management consoles. For example, you can determine:

  • Default console view
  • Search defaults
  • What happens after you save a request


For the changes to take effect, close and re-open the console. The preferences you set are applicable until they are modified.
