Monitoring and managing user licenses
As an administrator, you can manage licenses from the Admin Console by navigating to Administration > Admin Console > License Management. The License Management page displays an overview of the license variables such as number of users and expiry dates, and displays the following panels.
Current License panel
On the Current License panel, you can view the current license parameters used by the instance.
Upload License panel
After you install BMC Helix ITSM: Smart Reporting(Smart Reporting), you may need to update your license file. Generally, the license key you receive with the installer is for a limited time only. When you receive new license key or a regenerated license key, open the Upload License panel and upload the file with the key.
If your license is invalid, a license error message is displayed. Confirm that the license is valid by viewing the parameters, for example, dates and host name, in a text editor. If all parameters appear to be valid, contact Support.
To load a new license file, you must load it from the server on which Smart Reporting is installed, else an error is displayed.
Reminder Schedule panel
From the Reminder Schedule panel, you can schedule Smart Reporting to send reminder emails to nominated users or email addresses when license expiry approaches.
