Configuring Mid Tier to access Smart Reporting

By configuring the Mid Tier settings, you can enable navigation from Mid Tier  to BMC Helix ITSM: Smart ReportingAfter you complete the user onboarding and content import processes, you must manually update the Mid Tier configuration to add the BMC Helix ITSM: Smart Reporting server details. If you do not complete this configuration, an error will be displayed when you try to access the BMC Helix ITSM: Smart Reporting console from the Mid Tier.

 To configure the Mid Tier

  1. In the Mid Tier  configuration tool, click Report Settings.
  2. Enter the BMC Helix ITSM: Smart Reporting  information:

    Note: This entry must end with a forward slash (/).

    Note: This password must be updated if the siadmin password for BMC Helix ITSM: Smart Reporting is changed.

  3. Save your changes.

    Note

    If you get a validation error message, your changes are not saved. You must fix the errors for the changes to be saved. You can find detailed error messages in the Mid Tier configuration log files.
