Granting Content Super User permission to access and manage all content

In BMC Helix ITSM: Smart Reporting(Smart Reporting), only the users who are given explicit access to the private content, such as private report, could view it. So, if the creator of the private report is no longer available in  Smart Reporting, other users are unable to access the private reports created by that user. With super access, the user can view, edit, or delete any content, including private content created by other users in Smart Reporting.

For example, Bob, a Smart Reporting user had created a report of ALL high priority open incidents. Bob has left the organization and the Chloe, the incident manager is no longer able to view this report as it is a private report. A Smart Reporting super administrator, can give a super access to the administrator role so that an administrator can access this private report and give that report to Chloe.

By default, the Content Super User function is not enabled  for user roles. As a super administrator, you can enable this function in the default organiztion. To give a user super access to private content in Smart Reporting, a super administrator must perform the following steps:

StepDescription
Enable the setting for Content Super User function.

Enable the setting to allow the Super Content User function to be visible for a user role. For more information, see To enable the setting for Content Super User function.

Grant the super content user permission to a user role.
