Formatting draft reports


After you have defined the data for your report, you can define the formatting options on the Design page to create presentation-quality reports.

To format a report

  1. Open the report.
  2. Click the Design tab.
    Depending on what the report includes, for example, charts, and whether the report is in DRAFT or ACTIVE mode, you will see some or all of the following icons:

  3. Click the icons and complete the fields in the panels that appear.
    The following table describes what you can do with each icon.

    Hide Table

    Hide the tabular display in the report output and show only charts.
    Note: To see this icon, the report must contain a chart.

    Show Table

    Display a hidden table in the report output, showing charts and table.
    Note: To see this icon, the report must contain a chart.

    Report Formatting

    Apply formatting changes that affect the report as a whole.

    Column Formatting

    Apply formatting changes that affect a single field, rather than the whole report.

    Conditional Formatting

    Apply alerts to a field based on defined conditions.
