Creating a static snapshot of a report

You can save the result set of your current report with the drill paths and filters you have applied. This report becomes a static snapshot that preserves a result set at a point in time, which you can use later for comparison.

To create a static snapshot

1. On a report, click Snapshots and select Create Snapshot.
   
2. Enter a name and description for the report.
   In the description, describe what filters are applied to the report.
3. Select the type of security you want for the bookmark.
   Initially, the security level is Public (open to anyone who has access to the category and subcategory in which the report is stored). 
4. Click OK.

To view a snapshot

1. Open the report that has the snapshot.
2. Click Snapshot.
3. Select the name of the snapshot you want to view.

To use a snapshot within a storyboard

1. Add the report that has the snapshot to a storyboard slide.
2. From the dialog box, click Snapshot and then click OK.
   
3. Select the snapshot you want to use.

To delete a snapshot

1. Open the report that has the snapshot.
2. Click Snapshots.
3. Click Delete (X) next to the snapshot that you want to remove.
4. Click OK.
