Troubleshooting Broadcasting issues
Issue symptoms
The broadcast to save a report to a disk fails with the following error message:
Could not create the folder "file:///<sharedlocation>/<folder name>/".
Issue scope
When the administrator does not share the folder to save the report.
Resolution
- Share the folder with the required recipients.
- (For Windows only) If the shared folder resides in a machine other than Remedy Smart Reporting server, make the folder accessible from Remedy Smart Reporting server by performing the following steps:
- On the Remedy Smart Reporting server, go to Start > Services.
- Right click the Remedy Smart Reporting service and click Properties.
- On the Log On tab, click This account and then click Browse.
- In the
Select User
window, search for the user logged in user and click OK. - Click Apply.
- Restart the Remedy Smart Reporting service.
