Adding and responding to comments in a report or storyboard
You can add comments to a report, dashboard, tab, or storyboard for your own use or to share with others who can access the same report. Comments can help you discuss and highlight data in a report or slide.

You can add comments to Active content only.

To add a new comment thread
- Open a report, dashboard, or storyboard to which you want to add a comment.
- At the bottom right corner of the page, click .
- Click New Conversation.
- Click Add Comment, and enter your comment in the text box.
- (Optional) To add private comments, click .
Only the users or groups mentioned in the comment will be able to access that comment. - To save your comment, click .
To respond to a comment thread
- At the bottom right corner of the page, to open the comment that you want to respond to click , .
- Enter your reply in the text box at the bottom of the comment, and click .
If replies already exist, click to expand the replies and open the response box.- Enter your reply into the text box, and click OK.
Your reply appears directly below the root comment, as it is the most recent response.
To share a comment
- Open the comment that you want to share.
- Click the menu at the right corner of the comment thread.
- Click Share.
- In the Share window, enter the names of the users or groups that you want to share the report with, and click Submit.
To edit or delete a response
- Open the comment whose response you want to edit or delete.
- On the left side of the response, click the menu.
- Click Edit or Delete depending on the action that you want to perform.
To delete a comment thread
To delete a thread, you must be the author of the root comment or have the required administration role permissions.
- Open the comment thread that you want to delete.
- At the right corner of the comment thread, click the menu.
- Click Delete.
- In the confirmation box, click Ok.
