Enabling a non-administrator user to view historical KPI data

By default, only administrators can view the historical and current KPI data.

To enable a non-administrator user to view historical KPI data

  1. As an administrator, grant the non-administrator user the permission to access the individual Flashboard variables.

    Important

The non-administrator user can see the KPI data from the date from which the permissions are added.

  2. To grant the access to view the historical data, find the Flashboard name where the users want to view the historical data. For example, HPD:INC:Incidents_Submitted.

  3. Log in to Remedy mid tier and go to the Data Visualization Definition form.
  4. In the Definition Name field, search with the HPD:INC:Incidents_Submitted KPI name and copy its GUID.

  5. Open the FB:History form and add the GUID copied in the preceding step in the Variable System ID field.

  6. Click Save.
The total number of entries are the total number of records of KPI data for HPD:INC:Incidents_Submitted created by Flashboards. Remedy Smart Reporting creates a Sum(Value) from the FB:History form for the specific KPI for which the data is displayed in reports. When you grant a permission for a variable on the FB:History form, the group ID is added to the Label Group 2 field on the FB:History form.
  7. Find the Group IDs of the non-administrators who want to access the data from the User form.
  8. Manually add the Group IDs in the Label Group 2 field of FB:History form.

    Important

Do not overwrite the existing Group IDs. Add them after the existing IDs.

To add multiple Group IDs at one time, create a custom escalation with the required qualification.

A non-administrator user can now access the available KPI data in reports.
