To edit a view

To make changes to a view after it has been activated, you must take it through the change management process. This process ensures that the view is not corrupted if it is used for reporting. For example, ensure that columns used in existing reports are not deleted.

  1. From the left navigation panel, select Browse > Views.
  2. Double-click the view that you want to edit.
  3. From the View Summary page, click Edit View.
  4. Select one of the following options:
    • Clone—Report writers make the changes independently. When you activate the cloned view, it replaces the previous version.
    • Edit—No users can run reports against that view until you activate it. Any changes you make to the view might impact existing reports and corrupt views. Additionally, you cannot roll back the view to its previous state.
  5. Edit the view as required.
  6. Save and activate the view.

To roll back a view

If you have made changes to a view via a clone, after it is saved, you can roll back to the previous version.

  1. Open the view that you want to rollback.
  2. On the Edit View page, select Rollback.

  3. Click Rollback.

To copy a view

  1. From the left navigation panel, select Browse > Views.
  2. Right-click the view, and select Make a copy.
  3. Edit the view in the view builder.

  1. From the left navigation panel, select Browse > Views.
  2. Right-click the view, and select Delete.
  3. Click Delete.
