Installing Smart IT using silent mode

When you install Smart IT in silent mode, you run the installer from a command line. For other options for installing Remedy with Smart IT (Smart IT), see Performing the Smart IT installation.

Before you begin

Complete the steps in Preparing for installation of Smart IT.

To install Smart IT in silent mode

Use the following template to install Smart IT in silent mode:

The following table describes the parameters that are used in the above mentioned template:

-J ORACLE_RDBMS_USED=falseSmart IT Oracle server database. This option should be selected to true if you are installing Oracle server through silent file. Keep other database options false.
-J MS_SQL_RDBMS_USED=falseSmart IT SQL server database. This option should be selected to true if you are installing SQL through silent file. Keep other database options false.
-J POSTGRE_SQL_RDBMS_USED=trueThis option should be selected to true if you are installing PostgreSQL through silent file.
