Uninstalling Smart IT

The following procedure describes how to uninstall the file system for Remedy with Smart IT (Smart IT).

Note

The uninstaller does not uninstall the Smart IT database; it removes only the system files. Smart IT data (including Remedy AR System integration) and structures remain intact.

If you want to uninstall only Smart IT and if you are using the same Tomcat server for Smart IT and Digital Workplace or Mid Tier, ensure that you do not select the Remove Tomcat option during uninstallation.

To uninstall Smart IT

  1. Uninstall the application:
    • (Windows) Go to the UninstallBMCSmartIT folder (such as C:\Program Files\BMC Software\Smart_IT\UninstallBMCSmartIT), and run the uninstall file.
Alternatively, From the Windows Control Panel, select Add or Remove Programs > Remedy with Smart IT <version> Install and click Remove.
    • (Linux) Perform the following steps:
      • Go to the UninstallBMCSmartIT folder (such as /data1/bmc/Smart_IT/UninstallBMCSmartIT), and run the uninstall file.
