Adding custom fields to your views using Smart IT

You might have custom fields defined for BMC Remedy IT Service Management, that you would like to display in the Smart IT user interface. You might also want to display out-of-the-box BMC Remedy ITSM fields that are not shown by default in Smart IT. You can also define a custom field in BMC Remedy IT Service Management and then make the fields available for selection in Smart IT.

    Please can you review the instructions regarding the filter changes? Eg. WOI:WIC:CreateWorkOrder_100`! in 18.08 system is OOTB set to "Matching IDs" so there is no change needed.

      Hello Andreas,

      As per our the views of our SME, your opinion is correct. As it has Matching ID’s, you don’t need to add extra mapping for customization.

    Hello, the limitation on field type is still the same? I mean, is this affermation still valid "Currently the following types of custom fields cannot be displayed: Currency fields, Table fields, Trim fields, Display only fields, Attachment fields, and Diary Fields." ??     Hi Nilay, We have both an 18.08 and a 19.08 server, when reviewing the fields available to add to Incident, Change, etc a large majority are greyed out and unavailable with a label of 'This field is missing in form..." These are OOTB fields as far as I'm aware, can you clarify

        Hello Stephen,

        As per my communication with the SME,  all of the OOB fields are not readily available for addition to the Smart IT views, because they are required to be added to the core interface forms in ITSM. Since these fields are not required for the currently supported use cases for these interface forms, the architectural decision was to not add them out-of-the-box in order to keep these interface forms clean. 

        You can add these and your own custom fields as needed by using the supported method of adding fields to the Smart IT views.
