Configuring Smart IT utility

There are multiple utilities that are used in Smart IT for various purposes. Refer to the following table to understand the utilities and their use. These utilities are used while you upgrade to the latest version of Smart IT. Click the Smart IT utility links in the following table to get the configuration steps in detail.

Mongo DB data migration utilityStarting with version 18.05, Smart IT no longer uses MongoDB for storing your social data. Before you upgrade to Smart IT version 18.05, use the mongo migration utility to migrate your social data stored in MongoDB to the AR System database. This migration ensures that your social data is visible in the Smart IT dashboard seamlessly after you upgrade to Smart IT 18.05. 

Transferring Smart IT customizations and definitions between servers

You can package and transfer Smart IT screen configuration customizations and screen level action information from a source computer to a destination computer by using the BMC Remedy Deployment Application.

Migrating Smart IT customization and configuration

Smart IT data migration utility prevents data loss if you are upgrading from a preceding version of Smart IT to the latest version. You can migrate your existing information of Smart IT to Smart IT latest version by using this utility. 
Adding custom option to the selection fields by using ticket console configuration utilityStarting from Smart IT 2.0 version, you can add custom selection options to the SHR:UnionSmartIT_TicketConsole form for selection fields by executing the Smart IT customization utility. You can only add selection values.
